  I had a very good experience with their preplanning. Matthew, the young man who helped me was very kind and understanding to my wants and needs. I would recommend Westlawn to anyone who needs to plan their own funeral or a loved ones. 10/10.

  DO NOT GIVE THE NAME OF YOUR DECEASED TO THESE PEOPLE!! THEY WILL PICK UP YOUR LOVED ONE FROM THE HOSPITAL AND BRING HIM/HER TO WESTLAWN WITHOUT YOUR AUTHORIZATION!!

  This happened to me with my 85yr old mother when I simply enquired about their costs. Nothing was ever signed, consent was NEVER given, as I still had not decided on which cemetery and funeral home I was going to go with. When I enquired about the prices on the cemetery side, they asked me for her name and birthdate and, later, unbeknownst to me, took it upon themselves to retrieve her body from the Royal Alex Hospital.

  We learned a very valuable lesson in that there are way better place to deal with that have true ethics and morality. So disappointed and livid and also having found others who have the same experience is very off-putting. Just beware, beware, beware!

  Flowers cheaper anywhere and ours were also not the best in quality, caskets less elsewhere, heck everything is cheaper. We just wanted dad next to mom as he had prepaid the plot. Our sister passed away very recently and we would have loved to have her placed at Westlawn near her parents but alas we will never have another family member laid to rest there.

  We had our dear mother placed here in 1992 and my father passed away 2 years ago. Well the one thing we realized is that there are places that take advantage of a vulnerable time and those that do not. This is the first. If you look around you can purchase so many things at a fraction of the cost than here. If you need to have the service here or burial then look to do everything elsewhere and do what you need to do there.

  Two years later and no engraved headstone yet and no one ever calls back ever. We paid a huge amount to have this service expedited for the funeral service and 2 years is crazy. This is very common for them to either not have it done or in many case not even have a headstone in place in a timely manner. The lack of care from anyone is just ludicrous and we are one step from litigation in a family of lawyers. $16000 and no service at all.
