Loved skating here. Nice indoor place to change into your skates

Good facility for winter skating but note that the ice rink is sometimes used/reserved for speed skaters

Smaller park in Edmonton area. But was pleasant. I would have enjoyed using the large fire pit. I wonder if I need a permit?

This is a nice family oriented park with multi-seasonal uses. Come in the summer for a fire or in the winter for a well cared for skating surface. There is even a building for you to warm up and change into your skates. Close to our beautiful river valley and walking trails.

Victoria Park has something for everyone. The walking trail along the Saskatchewan River is great for rollerblading. Washrooms at the Golf Driving Range and tee off main building. If you want to practice your putting, it's free, but bring your golf shoes. Victoria Golf course also hosts cricket clubs that often show up on weekends. A hike & bike trail is cut into the North high bank that defines the river valley. It winds down to the Royal Glenora Club. Stair climbers will get a good workout on the wood stairs that will take you up to the High Level Bridge and the Alberta Legislation Building. Runners will break a good sweat doing the loop to the UofA and back. There is a generous amount of parking along with river valley road. In the winter months activities don't slow down. The trails are plowed for walkers and runners. Ice skating and competitive speed skating runs all winter at the Victoria Park outdoor rink. There is plenty of parking and a brand new building warm up in and lace up your skates. The ice is well kept with open ice for speed skating and slick iced over trails you can explore. On a lucky night you'll find skaters huddled around a bonfire. Victoria Park is a great place anytime of the year.
