  Several times when I've been there and had a question about a reptile supply, I was passed along 3 times through different people because they didn't actually know who was in that department. It seems to me that communication between departments could be a bit better, but other than that it's quite good.

  After being told it was an amazing store, I was heartbroken to see otherwise. The variety is great, BUT.... Many tanks were dirty, almost all of the tanks of fish for sale had dead or dying fish. Staff seemed to be more interested in amusing themselves that helping or even greeting customers. The sales floor was littered with boxes, paxking materials, plastic wrap and such. It was difficult walking about the main area to look at the sizes of tanks available.

  You have to go find a sales person and then when you do, stay on them to get everything you need. Part way through my sale, my sales gal left and started up a good old fashioned non work related convo, while I stood by waiting, very confused.

  Hit or miss with the staff. I had a bad experience with one of the staff members (the tall chick with the tattoos and blue hair) who talks with a degrading tone in her voice when you ask her questions. Owning a fish tank was a new hobby of mine at the time and I was just learning and she made me feel like an idiot for asking questions. All the other staff is friendly and somewhat helpful (if you can find someone). The quality of the fish is hit or miss as well. Be very careful when purchasing and make sure you check really good for signs of diseases before you buy.

  The assistance from employees is fairly good, but quite slow to asking if you need help when you're looking at things.

  The downside is you better be prepared to quarantine the fish you buy here. They are all on a handful of filtration systems so they share disease.

  They have great fish and if you know exactly what you want and need and are fairly outgoing and confident, it's the place for you. For an individual such as my self, I'm going to support my local fish store here on out.
