  Pet peeve about other traditional gyms in the city is typically the owner/operator is also teaching classes. Therefore, there is a due process to prove yourself in order to learn certain techniques. Also, it can get ackward because he/she is also in charge of your membership. While, at UFC gym, the system is great because no matter which class I go to; I get the same or better level of training. Regardless if I was there 1 week ago or 3 weeks ago. No questions asked.

  Downside is some have left due to the moratorium on fight events in Edmonton. However, the ones left are exceptional and will make you feel comfortable regardless of skill level.

  Everytime ive gone if enjoyed myself my ambitions are to become an mma fighter in the ufc and this gym is a great help i specialize in boxing taekwondo and im learning brazilian jiu jitsu

  Awesome gym for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Boxing (the 2 classes I've done), the coaches are amazing, and can accomodate whether you're a pro or a newbie. There is also a huge section with weights and cardio equipment if you just want to work out.

  All coaches for the martial arts classes have fight records that you can google. Most are or were professional fighters.

  Have had a membership since June and was having issues with it and classes consistently being randomly cancelled with no notification. I would have to call half hour before classes especially on weekends to see if classes were still on as we would show up and told there was no class. Called several times, left messages and no one would call back. When I brought up my concern to another staff member I was told that the owner was aware of the issue but all classes were on and none were cancelled. Another staff said they covered for eachother so it always showed instructors were there. Called over half a dozen times in the last 4 months to speak to Alicia the owner. Never got a call back. Worst customer service and poor management. Posted a FB review and it was deleted in less than 12 hours. Quick to delete a review but not to return phone calls or messages. Would not recommend this gym to anyone.

  Been to many other gyms across the city over the years. None have the same customer service, accessibility, and coaching like UFC Gym North Edmonton.
