We are truly fortunate to have such a hospital in Alberta.

My six week stay at the Glenrose was a truly positive experience. I was involved in a vehicle accident and the care and treatment I received was exemplary. The staff were so caring and competent, I felt I was among friends.

The team approach used in so many of the programs provides huge benefits for patients and families. The friendliness and caring of the staff is evident in almost every interaction. The workplace culture is very different than what I have witnessed at any of the acute care facilities here.

This Rehabilitation Hospital is the largest in North America; yet the people that work in it appear to have a small workplace attitude. By this I mean for the most part people work together really well, enjoy assisting and collaborating with each other, and are usually really helpful, friendly and nice to people.

After one year waiting list for my son to be checked by a "specialized panel" a physician showed up for 40 minutes, showing no interest on assessing my kid just asking background questions to us (the parents) after that we saw a psychologist for 40 minutes she did her job "ok" and 20 minutes hearing test. So my kid was addressed for less than 2 hours by 3 people, that isn't a panel of specialists and after one year waiting. It is a shame and a disgrace for Canada this kind of service by AHS

The building is very wheelchair friendly; however, the parking could use some more changes in that department. There have been some changes, resulting in more disabled stalls, and in particular more large disabled stalls needed to accommodate side-entry wheelchair vans and trucks. More stalls are still needed as is education for those using placards. There is a failure to recognize the different kind of stalls designated and the different needs they accommodate.

The staff at both physio and OT were awesome, they worked you hard to prepare you for a normal life. The facility itself is a five star complex. from the rehabilitation equipment to the meals and dinning room.

Over the span of several weeks my mother received top-notch care under the watchful eyes of the doctors while the dental students practiced their skills . She also received one to one doctor care due to time requirements on my part. Each time my mother entered the clinic she was treated with DIGNITY, RESPECT, and gentle care and met with kind, caring staff. From the admitting staff to the dental technicians to the dentists...it is my pleasure to recommend this facility. The only problem that I can mention is the location and parking. Otherwise the appointments went without a hitch!
