  My boyfriend and I were looking for a yellow diamond engagement ring. Not realizing how rare a yellow diamond was, we had a very hard time finding one at the WEM. The manager (Rifaat) at Ann Louise, told us how they could get a yellow diamond shipped in and make my dream ring!

  I am from PEI, so I had to do all of the communication from back home (via text, email and phone calls). They were very easy to deal with, professional and friendly.

  Negatives: staff was snobby. They told me my ring would be resized on a certain date. I came to pick up to days later and it wasn't started. No courtesy call to let me know. This after bragging about how quick their turn around time is

  Can I give zero stars?! Horrible experience. Went to see if my ring (from the states) could be looked at as I was advised by people's that a claw is loose. One woman claimed that with her naked eye she could see "a bunch" of work was needed. Another stated "if one claw needs work they all do". A series of rude and unnecessary questions were then asked such as "is this meant to be an engagement ring" and "did you find this" and "did someone buy this for you". Also appeared to have zero knowledge about anything as the ring is 4 years old (it's specialty made) was asked if it is vintage. When she stated she could tell it was "really old" I advised her it actually just needed cleaning and was ignored. I was asked what the clarity was and I wasn't sure and she was very condescending about it. Was finally advised that the goldsmith "couldn't work on platinum" within the store anyways. When I said I'd look elsewhere I was then told that "no one" works on platinum in the city. Even if that's true, I'll take my chances and go elsewhere!!
