  Saturday afternoons is a great time for live blues at the Gas Pump. Really good acts, is an older crowd though everyone has a good vibe. Reasonably well priced drinks and great atmosphere. Servers and bartenders all are really nice. No one's pretentious or aggressive, something I have noticed at other Edmonton bar/clubs. Check it out.

  Not racist but a lot of black guys and lots of natives. Old fat ugly women and those guys everything that moves there.

  The first time we saw the gas pump after moving to the Oliver area we thought that it was a bit of a dive and not worth a second look. However, curiosity led us inside one night and it turned out to be a great time, the new owners have done an amazing job turning this old bar into a relevant spot again. It's not a crowded chain bar, so if that's what you like this isn't your place. This is a place with great, friendly service, better than average pub food, and a relaxed and fun atmosphere for you and your friends. We had a great time two weekends in a row between the drinks, pool tables, dance floor, and now the fooseball table which was added. Been back a handful of times and still can't find a negative thing to say. The new owner is also seems like a great guy and I plan on returning many times in the future.

  Large, dark, dive-y bar that has a bit of an older crowd who appear to be regulars and all know each other and have a great rapport with the staff. The staff are friendly, there is the usual selection of drinks and a few beers on tap - nothing special, but not a bad place to hang out if you know someone there and happen to be in the area.

  Excellent atmosphere. Excellent host. And hands down the best pizza at a pub. What more can a person ask for. Well worth your night.
